Screen Rootz scheme was devised and produced by Coventry based Frontline Audio Visual and funded by Screen West Midlands and ABi Associates London. Screen Rootz seeks to encourage new film makers from Coventry & Warkwickshire to produce work, network and stimulate moving image production and training, especially for under represented groups. The films featured on this site have been made by Black & Asian first time writers and directors from Coventry & Warwickshire. The scheme provides professional support for film-makers throughout the process, from idea and script development, pre-production, the shoot and the edit. The aim of Screen Rootz is to provide a ground level platform for more diversity in screen based media, and celebrate black creativity in moving image.
